About CodeKru Tools

CodeKru Tools is a free place to practice software test automation: write real code, run it in a real browser, and get feedback on every attempt.

Who we are

CodeKru Tools is built by CodeKru, which has published programming and software testing tutorials on codekru.com covering Java, Go, Selenium, Playwright, TestNG and JMeter. The tutorials explain a topic; this site is where you practice it.

What you can do here

• Work through hands-on assignments for Selenium Java, Selenium Python, Playwright JavaScript and REST Assured Java, plus a beginner API testing path that needs no programming.
• Run Selenium and Playwright scripts in online compilers, with no JDK, Node, Python or browser driver to install.
• Generate test cases, test scenarios and Page Object classes, and convert Selenium scripts to Playwright.

How lessons are checked

Each code assignment runs your script in a real browser inside an isolated container, against practice pages built for that exercise, and grades it with automated tests. You see what passed, what failed and why, then try again.

API testing assignments send real requests to a practice API and check the evidence you collect. Every lesson links to the related CodeKru tutorial when one exists.

The AI tools use OpenAI models to draft test cases, scenarios, Page Objects and conversions. Treat their output as a starting point and review it before you rely on it.

Free to use

Every tool and lesson is free. You can use the compilers and generators without an account; a free account saves your scripts and assignment progress and adds you to the practice leaderboards.

Corrections and feedback

If a lesson is wrong, unclear or broken, tell us and include the page link. Corrections are made in the lesson itself, so every learner gets the fix.
